A Rustic Outdoor Wedding at Kualoa Ranch in Oahu, Hawaii

The gorgeous Hawaiian sunset inspired the outdoor nuptials of Erica, 29, who works in human resources, and Adam, 30, a small business owner, on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. The couple, who originally met in high school but didn't start dating until several years later, used a color palette of orange, yellow and corals to match the vibe of their fun and tropical location. The bright colors were featured throughout the day in everything from the flowers to the candy bar. Because traveling to the destination wedding was already a significant expense for attendees, the couple took a laid-back approach to the wedding party by allowing bridesmaids and groomsmen to choose their own attire. Following a boat ride to a secluded beach, guests watched the couple exchange vows against a picturesque landscape of lush green mountains and sparkling water. Erica and Adam incorporated their love for travel into the reception by serving some of their favorite Greek and Mediterranean dishes including dolma, Moroccan couscous and Egyptian spiced chicken. Bright floral centerpieces popped against white linens and string lights added a romantic feel to the celebration. Along with dancing the night away to pop covers from a live band, guests participated in fun activities like a photo challenge and a Flipbook booth, where a local company made 10-second flipbooks for them to take home. "We tried to make a really fun, memorable experience for everyone," Erica says.
