A Rustic Outdoor Wedding at the Cherry Basket Farm in Omena, Michigan

Getting married anywhere but Northern Michigan was completely out of the question for Kelly Korbel and Bobby Busley. After growing up in the area, the couple knew a local venue would make the most fitting place for their wedding. "There is a beauty in Leelanau County that you really can't find anywhere else in the world," Kelly says. They let that regional flair take center stage at their outdoor ceremony, supplementing the wonders of the great outdoors with sprigs of rosemary, marigolds and apples. In the name of staying prepared for Michigan's chilly fall weather, Kelly paired her dress with cozy cowboy boots, and the couple made sure their guests kept warm with flannel blankets. "One moment that stands out was during our ceremony, our officiant asked us to turn and look out at everyone who had come to celebrate with us," Kelly says. "I will never forget the joy and love I felt, standing hand in hand with Bobby and looking out at our friends and family." After the ceremony, the pair welcomed guests inside to a casual reception complete with sweet potato pie, fresh cider and plenty of dancing.
