A Maine inspired wedding was the perfect way for high school sweethearts, Talitha and Josh, to honor the place where their romance first began. Vintage details accented with deep red and ivory gave their outdoor wedding on Josh's family estate a feel of rustic elegance.

Instead of numbering tables, Talitha and Josh decided to use Maine town names that had meaning to them. The table names were surrounded by an outline of Maine and displayed in vintage style cranberry frames.
The couple chose a two tiered lemon cream cheese buttercream cake, decorated with ruffles and an off centered red sugar rose.
Friends and family watched as Talitha and Josh happily cut the lemon and blueberry flavored wedding cake. So that guests could try the cake, the couple chose to include mini lemon with blueberry filling and lemon cream cheese tasting cakes for dessert.
To top off the dessert selections, guests were able to enjoy homemade mini whoopie pies.
Along with the tasting cakes, heart shaped cookies for were topped with monogram stamps similar to those that sealed the wedding invitation.
Talitha walked down the aisle in these glittered Ivanka Trump ballet flats and this crystal and pearl Kate Spade necklace.
Ivory table linens were topped with neutral place settings, including wicker chargers. The centerpieces, clear glass bottles filled with ivory hydrangeas and deep red dahlia, added color to the reception.
Josh accessorised his suit with a simple red ranunculus boutonniere.
At the reception, the bride and groom sat at a rustic wooden table decorated with glass jar centerpieces. Their vintage styled chairs were adorned with canvas Mr. and Mrs. pillows.
Talitha and Josh chose to stray from the traditional guestbook and have their friends and family sign in on wooden cutouts in the shape of Maine.
Red David Austin roses, ranunculus, astilbe and hanging amaranthus came together with ivory garden roses and hydrangeas to create a beautifully textured bouquet.
Upon entering the reception tent, guests were greeted by a vintage inspired chalkboard menu designed by a friend of the bride.
Talitha wore a classic ivory tulle and lace Sottero & Midgley ball gown. A silk taffeta belt, with floral and Swarovski crystal adornments, was attached at the waist of the gown.
What better way to celebrate the place where you and your beau met than including it in your invitation? The couple chose a white invitation suite that featured a red outline of the state of Maine. Wax monograms with the couple’s new, shared initial completed the package.
Long banquet tables were set up under a sailcloth tent for an intimate wedding reception venue.
Large glass jugs filled with ivory flowers and dusty miller atop a wooden table provided a backdrop for the outdoor ceremony.
