rn Heather Crouse (25 and a research assistant) and Brendan Murray (31 and a chemist) chose their palette based on the colors of their bridesmaid dresses. "I wanted the girls to wear a color that would stand the test of time," Heather says. "Purple was the winner." To create an ombre look, the bridesmaids dressed in different shades of purple and blush. These colors were echoed in the bridal bouquet, which included pink peonies, lavender, blush roses and ivory ranunculus. The reception at the Barn at Boones Dam in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, also incorporated shades of purple, with purple linens and purple wildflowers in mason jars as the centerpieces. Heather's mother made all the beautiful flower arrangements. The reception tables were lined with burlap runners and numbered with wooden blocks for a rustic touch. For dessert, Heather and Brendan served red velvet, butter rum and chocolate peanut butter cupcakes in addition to a buttercream wedding cake. And to tie in with the rustic theme, Heather and Brendan gave their guests jars of grape jelly as wedding favors. Homiak Photography captured all the gorgeous details from this spring wedding.
