A Rustic Ranch Wedding at a Private Residence in Alta, Wyoming
Brianna Clark (26 and a whiskey shop manager) and Sam Mead (26 and a distiller at Wyoming Whiskey) love rural Wyoming, so it was important that their wedding reflected that relaxed, authentic atmosphere. With this in mind, Brianna and Sam hosted their day at Sam's aunt and uncle's ranch in the tiny mountain town of Alta, Wyoming. "It is a beautiful place with a view of the Tetons and had everything we needed or wanted to create the perfect wedding for us," Brianna says. In keeping with the rural, rustic setting, Brianna and Sam stuck to an organic color scheme punctuated by pops of navy blue, plenty of natural textures and raw wood details. After an al fresco ceremony between two whiskey barrels in the shadow of the Teton Range, guests found their seating assignments affixed to bottles of Wyoming Whiskey—a nod to Sam's profession. Wyoming-inspired details were woven throughout the day, from the local flowers to the menu, which featured Mead Ranch natural beef with Wyoming Whiskey sauce, plus huckleberries and fresh fish. Advice from Brianna: "It's easy to get bogged down with little details that no one will remember. This day is about you and your relationship." —Meghan Overdeep
