Inspired by their upbringing and favorite colors, Angela Forster (24 and a research assistant) and Landon Ryan (27 and an electrician) went for the epitome of rustic weddings with a yellow and green celebration at Buckingham Farms in Fort Meyers, Florida. We’re talking natural wooden-post aisle decor, lush yellow and white bouquets filled with daffodils, potted wildflower centerpieces on wooden stands from Signature Florals and a venue surrounded by oak trees. Angela and Landon even made their ceremony exit on a horse-drawn carriage to tie in their love of horses. “Landon grew up riding and being around horses,” Angela says. “I’ve also had a great love for horses since I was a little girl.” When they weren’t busy filling the dance floor at the reception, guests took turns snapping a few pictures with a Clydesdale, Tally. Zee Anna Photography caught every detail of their day, designed by CocoLuna Events, below.

The bridesmaid looks fit the spring affair to a T with short yellow and light green chiffon dresses by Alfred Angelo. Each woman chose her own look and changed things up with a funky pair of colored Converse shoes. They also switched out bouquets for chic parasols and lush corsages.

After some searching on Minted, Angela and Landon picked out stationery that felt like springtime. “It really worked wonderfully with our theme,” Angela says. The programs alone included a wreath of yellow petunias and olive leaves with their names at the center.
Spring green and sunshine yellow are Angela and Landon’s favorite colors, so it was no surprise that they also popped up in her bouquet. Signature Florals made sure it was filled with bright flowers, including yellow tulips, yellow petunias, white lisianthus, white chrysanthemums, greenery and yellow daffodils (her favorite). Angela’s great-grandmother's embroidered handkerchief gathered each of its stems together.
“We think the horse and carriage best reflect who we are as a couple,” Angela says. “Landon grew up riding and being around horses. I’ve also had a great love for horses since I was a little girl.” Their guests were even able to snag a few photos with a Clydesdale, Tally, throughout the night.
After trying on just nine other dresses at Alfred Angelo’s Bridal, Angela found exactly what she wanted. (The choice was made easier after her mother started tearing up in the store.) Angela wore this A-line ivory satin wedding dress accented with lace appliques, an illusion lace neckline and a short train.
Landon, his and Angela's fathers and the groomsmen had boutonnieres with a personal touch. Single white peonies and ranunculus were placed in actual shell casings Angela had collected.

Angela and Landon instantly bonded over their like for honey, so they turned it into their wedding favors. Their 70 guests took home a honey-inspired gift with a personalized “Love is sweet” note attached to the handle.
Nothing says rustic like natural-wood centerpieces. For their reception at Buckingham Farms in Fort Myers, Florida, each table was paired with three wooden stands below these potted yellow and white wildflowers in vintage teacups. A DIY black-and-white table number directed guests to their seats. (After the wedding, Angela’s sister, Alyson, made the head table’s centerpiece into chic candles.)
They wanted a little variety for the dessert table, so Angela and Landon chose a single-tier Key lime cake from Sassy Cakes, served over several tiers of cupcakes. Each one was filled with pumpkin, carrot cake, whisky vanilla, lemon basil and peanut butter chocolate cupcakes. A canary yellow heart accent decorated every other treat and matched the cake's “Mr.” and “Mrs.” topper. As a family tradition, Angela’s family also contributed nine flavors of cookies for some serious after-dinner treats.
