A Rustic Tented Wedding at Meadowood Napa Valley in St. Helena, California

Halla Timon (39 and a sales representative for book publishers and home accessories) and Noah Baylin (42 and a write for TV and film) were set up on a blind date and met at a popular wine bar in the area. As Halla and Noah got to know each other, they found out they used to live in the same area but had never crossed paths. A year and a half later, Noah borrowed a family ring of Halla’s without her noticing for proper measurements for the engagement ring he was designing. The proposal happened when the couple was out to dinner with Halla’s parents, and shortly after the planning began. Halla and Noah got married on Halla’s parent’s lawn in St. Helena, California, surrounded by the mountains and natural scenery. Local florist Kate Stanley created a chuppah with grape vines and flowers, following the color palette pink, gray, purple, green and white that worked around the natural surrounding. The reception took place under a tent made of poles from old ship masts at a nearby hotel and spa called Meadowood. “Probably the most memorable part was when we heard a music cue, and an entire table stood up together and started singing "There's nothing you can do that can't be done” followed by a second table standing at once singing "There's nothing you can say that can't be sung” and so on, until the entire tent was on its feet singing the chorus to the Beatle's "All you need is love”," says Halla. “It was a virtual flash mob performance by our guests, and the most touching and memorable surprise for us.”
