A Rustic, Tuscan Themed Wedding at Gervasi Vineyard in Canton, Ohio

Stephanie Harman (38, a strategic account executive) and Steve Amicone (45, an associate director) met while they were both attending the Tremont Beer

Stephanie Harman (38, a strategic account executive) and Steve Amicone (45, an associate director) met while they were both attending the Tremont Beer Festival in Tremont, Ohio. Three days later, they went on their first official date together that led to several others. The couple loved to travel together, so when Steve had to go to Romania for work, they decided to extend the trip for one week to Italy. On their last night, they were in Siena having dinner at a petite restaurant and headed back to their hotel afterward. As they were walking down an elegant stone staircase in the middle of town, Steve stopped halfway and pulled out an engagement ring. Their wedding was held at Gervasi Vineyard, where Stephanie had visited with friends a couple of times and had fallen in love with. The color palette of wine and burlap complemented the rustic Tuscan theme the couple had envisioned for the wedding day, with the natural d?cor of the vineyard and it’s breathtaking views. From the wine stained invitations and programs, to the wine box ceremony and dining tables decorated with burlap linens and hurricane lanterns, the rustic color palette was visible throughout the wedding day.

“There were three tiered cards in the invitation that included accommodations, directions and details,” says Stephanie. “Those had small wine stains. For the closure of the invitation, I took old wine corks (from all the wine I drank over the months) and cut them.”

"Being that I was getting married at a Vineyard, I wanted a simplistic, vintage look," says Stephanie. "My dress was ivory, strapless, heart shaped, lace gown with a very simple satin belt. The back laced from the waist up and a simple train that bustled nicely."
“While I let them pick the style, I did pick the wine color to ensure it fit the theme,” says Stephanie. “They wore short, strapless, heart-shaped chiffon dresses that went just above their knees. I liked this look because it matched my heart shaped wedding dress.”

At the reception, dining tables were dressed in burlap tablecloths and surrounded by white folding chairs. Large black lanterns, candles and small flower arrangements decorated the tables.
Cards from guests were placed in a bird cage decorated with purple and green grape decor.

"Each circle table had the Hurricane Lantern in the middle, oil based tee lights and two mason jars filled with similar flowers from bouquets, like ranunculus and calla lilies."
Stephanie made a wood wine box to be used during a part of the wedding ceremony, where the couple placed love letters previously written to each other inside the box. If the couple ever undergo hardships in their relationship, they would open the box and read the letters.
An assortment of wine flavored cupcakes were spread out on the reception table, decorated with rustic elements. Some flavors included lemon chardonnay, zinfandel and peach riesling and red wine caramel.
