A Rustic Vintage Wedding at the Farm, A Gathering Place in Candler, North Carolina

Andrea Knox (30 and an interior designer) and Todd Waller’s (30 and an engineer) gorgeous working-ranch venue in Candler, North Carolina, set the tone for the entire wedding with its woodland groves, historic barn and even horses. “I'm an interior designer, so I decided to use the farm itself as inspiration,” Andrea says. “All my reception decor was brought from our home in Houston, Texas, and are family heirlooms.” The couple perfectly combined rustic flair with the vintage details for their romantic wedding at the Farm, A Gathering Place. They used purple as their main color and accented it with shades of ivory and green, which Shady Grove Flowers brought to life with lush floral arrangements, including roses, hydrangeas and wildflowers. We really loved the amazing curly willow-branch ceremony entrance that brought an ethereal woodland feel to the location. It also helped give a more intimate feel to the ceremony by framing the site between it and the wooden gazebo altar. Our favorite part was the amazing menu—slow pulled pork and bacon-wrapped scallops—that made it feel like an ultra-local Southern affair. As if that weren't enough, the couple enjoyed a Rice Krispies Treats wedding cake. The three-tier square cake was decorated with fresh blueberries and strawberries, as well as purple ribbon.
