A Rustic Wedding at a Private Residence in Ohio
Tracy Barnhart (23 and a waitress and home maker) and Branden Pike (23 and a teacher) met all the way back in first grade! "He remembers me as the girl with the pigtails who liked to play soccer, and I remember him as a small feisty little guy, who also liked to play soccer," Tracy recalls. Branden proposed to Tracy on a trip to NYC, and gave her a gorgeous engagement ring: a blue stone surrounded by white diamonds, with a band of chocolate diamonds. Tracy took the colors from her ring and used it for the color palette of their wedding: brown, tan, off-white, and blue. The couple held their wedding at Branden's brother's house. Since the house is in the middle of the country, the couple went with a rustic theme to complement their surroundings. Branden loves woodworking, so wood was used throughout the decor, and goldfish were used as centerpieces to complement the pond on the property. Desks and globes and other school related things were used for the decor as well, a nod to Branden's job. The couple exchanged vows overlooking the pond, with a reception underneath a pavilion.
