A Rustic Wedding at The High Lonesome Ranch in De Beque, Colorado
With stunning mountain vistas, outdoor space for the ceremony and a wooden pavilion for the reception, it’s no wonder Alison Tuttle (33 and a ladies shoe buyer at Stage Stores Inc.) and Ryan Murphy (37 and a geologist) chose The High Lonesome Ranch in De Beque, Colorado, for their wedding. “The High Lonesome Ranch is a special place we had been to before,” Ali says of their mountain venue. “The staff, hospitality and natural beauty are second to none. Once we got engaged we immediately thought of the ranch for our venue and never seriously considered any other options.” Ali and Ryan envisioned a vintage meets Western feel for their day and mixed lace with burlap and roses with branches for a look we can’t help but love! Jason Burns from Burns & Madsen worked with Ali and Ryan to ensure all the gray and blush details perfectly came together. “We got the best wedding planner a bride could ask for,” Ali says. “I shared my vision with him, and then I stayed out of it and let him do his job. By giving him room to breathe, I feel like he was able to not only meet my expectations but greatly exceed them.” One of our favorite details was the lace-inspired wedding cake from d’Elissious in Aspen—yes, it was equally as delicious as beautiful!
