A Rustic Winery Wedding at The Old Place in Agoura Hills, California

Rosalind Rubin (29, in sales) and Chris Spalatin (30, a small business owner) moved in together after a year and a half of dating each other while living in different parts of California. After Chris wrote a letter to Rosalind's father asking for her hand in marriage, he told Chris to buy a ring after he proposed to Rosalind because she was so picky. So after Chris got down on one knee and Rosalind said yes, the couple went to the jewelry store and purchased a simple solitaire ring, perfect for Rosalind. Originally, the couple wanted to have a large wedding in Rosalind's hometown, but after realizing the stress and cost that came with planning a huge occasion, they decided to go a simpler route. "The only thing I really cared about was having our family present and having a great meal," says Rosalind. "We decided a simple ceremony followed by a big family meal would be ideal." Their ceremony was held at Cornell Winery in Agoura Hills, California and the reception that followed took place next door at The Old Place restaurant that had a rustic vibe they could share with their loved ones on their wedding day. "Both Chris and I come from very close families that like each other, so the fact that the whole weekend was just our families getting to know each other and share in each other's traditions was really special."
