A Rustic Winter Wedding at Alligator Soul Restaurant in Savannah, Georgia
Brittany Alsbrooks (27 and a respiratory therapist) and Brian Carter (31 and in research and development) fell in love with Whitefield Chapel in Savannah, Georgia for their winter nuptials as soon as they saw it. "We chose this location because of how small and rustic the chapel looked the first time we visited," says Brittany. "We knew that we wanted something smaller with only friends and close family and this space just seemed like the perfect place for our day." The couple first found inspiration when they came across a gray swatch while deciding on bridesmaid dresses and decided to plan a around a soft gray with organic pops of green and white. Glowing candlelight, winter greens and pinecone accents created warm seasonal atmosphere and chalkboard signs enhanced the rustic feel. After a soul food fusion menu catered by Alligator Soul, guests enjoyed a four-tiered naked cake sprinkled with fresh berries. At the end of the evening, the couple snuck off for an impromptu photo shoot in downtown Savannah. "We were able to really be ourselves and enjoy our time together during such a special moment!" says Brittany.
