Step into this winter wonderland wedding with a rustic twist! Blair Suek (23 and a high school English teacher) and TJ Suek (25 and an elementary school teacher) had a silver and gold color palette combined with natural elements accented the wedding day details, all captured on camera by Rebecca Anne Photography—from the pinecone and evergreen bouquets to the silver and gold sequin dresses the bridesmaids wore, and even the cake topper that depicted the bride in a gold dress. The couple held their traditional ceremony at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Sumner, Washington, where Blair attended service growing up. Following the ceremony was the reception at Swiss Sportmen’s Club of Tacoma in Bonney Lake, Washington, which is a facility that works toward helping the public to become more connected with their natural surroundings. With the help of Vaunee Birchler, the wedding decor of scattered candles frosted on the rims and wood interior decorated in twinkling lights created an accurate reflection of the simple, relaxed couple. “The reception was laid back and full of dancing—the dance floor was never empty,” the photographer recalls. “Everyone seemed to have a great time and come together, and that was the most important thing for TJ and Blair.”

Blair stood in the middle of her bridesmaids, who picked the sequins dress of their choice in either silver or gold. They wore rain boots with their dresses due to the weather. Blair wore a V-neck ivory wedding dress accented in lace, which had a skirt that flared out in a mermaid style.
Blair held a winter bouquet filled with brown pinecones and evergreen plants, all of which was frosted on top. "There were no flowers in our wedding," Blair says. "Instead, we used pinecone and evergreen bouquets and boutonnieres to keep with our woodsy theme!"
The couple had their traditional wedding ceremony at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Sumner, Washington, not only because they were both raised Catholic, but also because it was where Blair's parents had their ceremony. Classic pine trees were displayed at the front of the altar where the couple spoke their vows.
Ivory Mermaid Style Wedding Dress
Blair at TJ stood with their wedding party on the porch of Swiss Sportmen’s Club of Tacoma in Bonney Lake, Washington, where their reception took place. "All of the bridesmaids chose their own dress," Blair says. "As long as it had sequins in gold or silver, it was okay! I thought the girls did an amazing job picking out beautiful dresses. The guys rented classic tuxedos from Men's Wearhouse."
Blair wrapped her arms around TJ's neck as her ivory traditional veil made of tulle flew up in the air. "The Swiss Sportsmen's Club is where my family gathers once a year to celebrate our Swiss roots," Blair says. "We picnic and catch up all weekend with extended family. I had always pictured having my wedding reception here, and my mom had her reception here, so it meant a lot to us."
Blair wore her hair in an updo on the wedding day, clipped with a pin in the back that also attached her ivory tulle veil. In this shot, Blair wrapped her veil around DJ and herself as they began to happily giggle with each other. Blair wore a pair of simple dangling earrings with her elegant lace wedding dress that flared out in a mermaid style.
Several candle votives that stood with different heights had a frosted rim to go with the winter theme of the wedding. Other winter decorations from the wedding day included the frosted bouquet filled with evergreen and pinecones and the colorful pink and gold glass ornament placed in a vase that served as dining table centerpieces.
The ivory wedding cake was designed with a swirled pattern and had a ring of pink frosting around the bottom of the tier. The cake topper depicted a bride in a gold sparkly dress and a groom in a black tuxedo standing on a tall platform.
Blair and TJ danced the night away on the dance floor at their reception inside Swiss Sportmen’s Club of Tacoma in Bonney Lake, Washington. Blair wore a V-neck ivory wedding dress accented with lace that flared out into a mermaid style skirt. TJ took off his black jacket for the reception and wore his black vest that went over his white collar dress shirt.
