A Sentimental Summer Wedding at The Bond in York, Pennsylvania

Exactly 11 years after they began dating, longtime loves Anna Jensen (30 and a marketing director) and Russell Tutt (30 and an educator) made their union official by becoming Mr. and Mrs. in a heartfelt ceremony at the Country Club of York. “Our high school prom photo was our save-the-date,” Anna says. “It was our favorite part of our stationery.” Dressed in her late mother’s wedding dress, Anna’s “something blue” was a pair of aquamarine drop earrings gifted to her by Russell on their first dating anniversary. “Right before my dad walked me down the aisle, I ran into the bathroom and changed from my wedding dress into my mother’s,” she says of her sleeved, tea-length gown. “She passed away a month before Russell and I got engaged, so it was a surprise to everyone that I got her dress altered for our wedding.” Russell paired a floral tie with a suit in his favorite shade of hunter green. Personal details included a handmade wood arch and DIY signs decorated with eucalyptus. “We wanted our guests to be well fed and ready to party,” Anna says of their fried chicken feast. Instead of cake, the couple served Italian ice from a cart stocked with cookie custard sandwiches. “Russell and I first met at a Rita’s Italian Ice in high school, so the desserts were a hit,” Anna says.
