Vanessa and Mike could not have picked a more perfect setting than Serra Plaza in San Juan Capistrano, California for their rustic chic affair. The Spanish style courtyard had an innate sense of intimacy and an old world charm that fit flawlessly with the vintage decor, brightly colored florals and sophisticated touches like crystal chandeliers and hand calligraphed wood accents.

The reception took place outdoors in a courtyard at Serra Plaza. Chandeliers hung over long farm tables set with classic white linens, wood accents, pomegranates and colorful rustic floral arrangements, that felt elegant and sophisticated while also giving off the natural, organic vibe the couple was trying to achieve.
Yellow ranunculuses and tulips added a bright pop of color to the white buttercream cake, while sprigs of pine and scabiosa pods gave the cake a rustic, woodland vibe.
Vanessa and Mike danced to Crazy Love by Michael Buble as family and friends looked on.
To differentiate their seats from the rest of their guests', Vanessa and Mike selected a pair of decorative wood dining chairs to place at the head of the table.
In lieu of a traditional guestbook, Vanessa and Mike had their guests write them notes on small pieces of paper and pop them into numbered glass bottles. The couple would then read the notes from each bottle on its corresponding anniversary.
Instead of place cards, the couple had each guest's name hand painted on a square wooden charger placed at each place setting.
Festive bistro lights were strung over the reception space and cast a warm ambient glow.
The escort cards were woven into chicken wire displayed in a gilded frame. Yellow proteas and white garden roses were tucked into the wire for a fun touch.
The ceremony took place in the courtyard at Serra Plaza. Vanessa and Mike used vintage doors, church pews and chandeliers to transform the space into an open-air chapel.
The cocktail lounge had a chic, vintage look with gray Louis XV chairs and a tufted couch paired with a distressed wooden coffee table and understated floral centerpiece.
Mike's rustic yellow boutonniere made the stripes in his bow tie pop.
For their invitations, Vanessa and Mike went with a simple-yet-sophisticated white, gray and yellow color palette. The invitations were printed on thick museum board with white foil calligraphy style lettering. The enclosure cards were cream colored with gray script. All of the elements were bundled together with yellow suede rope.
The ceremony backdrop was comprised of two vintage chapel doors draped with a yellow floral and lemon leaf garland and crystal chandeliers that gave the outdoor a hint of elegance and formality.
Tequila Favors
Vanessa's bouquet had a wild, organic feel with an eclectic mix of roses, ranunculuses, hanging amaranthus, tulips and protea. Scabiosa pods, pomegranates, eucalyptus and sprigs of pine were unexpected touches that added texture and added to the rustic look of the bouquet. The bridesmaids carried smaller versions of Vanessa's bouquet.
