A Shabby-Chic Wedding at Mountain Magnolia Inn, Suites and Restaurant in Hot Springs, North Carolina

Western North Carolina natives Kate Byers (25 and a pharmacist) and Dylan Owensby (25 and a student) have always considered the Blue Ridge Mountains their home. "Most of our favorite memories have been made in these beautiful mountains, and we wanted to be surrounded by them during our wedding weekend," Kate says. "We could not have picked a more perfect venue than Mountain Magnolia Inn, a quaint bed and breakfast nestled in the middle of Hot Springs.” Wanting the wedding to feel super-personal, the couple made a lot of the details themselves, including the hanging-glass altar decor, the "Mr." and "Mrs." chair signs and even burlap collar on their dog, Aspen. Kate and Dylan decided what they wanted to splurge on, and got an awesome band out of it. “We are both music lovers and it was really important to Dylan that we have live music,” Kate says. “Once we decided we were going with a band, I sent an only slightly creepy Facebook message to the lead singer of one of my absolute favorite bands from Asheville, North Carolina. Let’s just say I got really lucky. I did not think there was any chance the Honeycutters would play at our wedding when I contacted them. It took a little pressure off the wedding planning knowing that if nothing else, people were going to get to see a really amazing show.” See all our favorite details, beautifully captured by Jason and Heather Barr from Revival Photography, below.
