A Shabby Chic Yellow Mountain Wedding at Granby Ranch in Granby, Colorado
Jenn McKeighan (28 and a personal trainer) and Zach Barger (30 and a regional manager for a construction company) met in college at the University of Nebraska. For their wedding, the couple chose Granby Ranch for its shabby chic feel. Guests rode the chair lift to the top of the mountain and walked through aspen trees to the ceremony location that seemed to overlook the world. Jenn wore a gorgeous Maggie Sottero lace wedding dress with sleeves and a bohemian white and yellow flower crown for a flower child vibe. The bridesmaids wore Alfred Angelo rompers that looked just like dresses, but were actually pants. Jenn and Zach used yellow and green for a bright, natural color palette. Margaret's Garden created all of the lush yellow sunflower bouquets to match the color scheme. “The aspen trees were just starting to change colors, so the yellow sunflowers mixed well with the orange, yellow and green trees,” Jenn says. The signature cocktail, pineapple mojitos, even took on the wedding colors. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, Jenn and Zach enjoyed cupcakes topped with rustic deer cake toppers. Inspired by the early fall season, they also had a DIY caramel apple bar. At the end of the night, guests went home with homemade jalapeno mango jam.
