Sarah Armstrong (25 and a hairstylist/makeup artist) and Kolton Wentworth (26 and in armed security) met through mutual friends at the San Diego bar In Cahoots. They hit it off and dated for the next six months before moving in together. On their two-year anniversary, Kolton proposed to Sarah as they were taking a gondola ride around Newport Beach, California. The couple chose to have their wedding ceremony at William Heise County Park in Julian, California, because its natural beauty required little decor; the couple said their vows with a large white-linen-draped tree as a backdrop and in front of friends and family. As the wedding plans were made, the couple shifted directions with their color palette, ultimately ending up with light grays and pastel hues. Sarah wore a strapless ivory lace gown with a sweetheart neckline designed by Stella York, while Kolton chose a light gray suit with an ivory silk tie and pocket square from JoS. A. Bank. Following the ceremony, the pair held their reception at a small local brewery and tasting room venue called Nickel Beer Company in Julian, California. Guests were transported by horse and carriage to the brewery, where they enjoyed local beer and tacos freshly made from Tacos Deliciosos. S’mores cupcakes by Sprinkles were served as dessert, with a wire sign that read "Kolton & Sarah" positioned at the top of the stand.

Sarah held an ivory, green and pink bouquet filled with chrysanthemum, roses, anemones and succulents.
Kolton had a single blush rose pinned to his light gray jacket, which he wore with his ivory tie and pocket square.
Sarah wore white Converse sneakers with pink laces, and Kolton sported black Converse sneakers with white laces.
The outdoor ceremony took place at William Heise County Park, with white folding chairs facing the large tree tied with white sheets.

The couple walked while holding hands outside, with Sarah wearing a long blush fur cloak.

Stacks of brown boxes wrapped with peach and pink ribbon served as the card box for wedding gifts.
"We handed out bottles of mead that Kolton brewed himself, and then we bottled and labeled them for our wedding guests," says Sarah.
S'mores cupcakes were browned on top and displayed on a stand at the reception for dessert. On top of the assortment was a wire sign that spelled out "Kolton & Sarah."
