A Simple, Elegant Wedding at Interlachen Country Club in Edina, Minnesota

Erica Seitzer (25 and in agriculture sales) and Brett (26 and a veterinarian) met at the University of Minnesota and became fast friends their sophomore year when Brett became roommates with Erica's brother. After dating throughout the remainder of college, the two tried things long distance before Brett popped the question near his hometown on a cross-country skiing trip. "We stopped at a lookout to take a few photos and he asked," Erica says. "I was so surprised!" For their elegant spring wedding set for late May, the couple exchanged vows at Mount Olivet  Lutheran Church in Victoria before celebrating at the Interlachen Country Club in Edina. "The ceremony was so sweet," the bride says. "Brett surprised me with a string quartet and we dedicated the song 'Beautiful Dreamer' to honor our grandparents, since it's a song my grandfather can often be heard whistling." Dressed in an Essence of Australia gown complete with vintage lace overlay and a dramatic train, the bride completed her vintage-inspired look with a pair of baby blue Badgley Mischka shoes. "They were the first thing I purchased, even before the dress!" Erica laughs. For their simple, yet elegant, reception, the couple outfitted the country club in shades of blush and gold along with pops of green. "We chose Interlachen because it's absolutely beautiful," the bride says. "It has a wonderful view of the golf course from the ballroom along with outdoor access. It also had this historic look and feel to it that really completed our vision for the day." While guests dined on cupcakes and danced to local band, Second Notion, the newlyweds made sure not to miss out on all of the action. "At midnight, most of the guests were still on the dance floor," the bride says. "At one point there was even a conga line!"
