Simplicity can be elegant, and that's exactly what it was at the wedding of Kate Fatta (33 and in international development) and Todd Moreland (36 and an art director). With a color palette of eggplant, lavender and ivory, they had a pretty and intimate wedding at Woodend Sanctuary in Chevy Chase, Maryland, a historic home and property that houses the Audubon Naturalist Society. The celebration was planned by Kelley Cannon Events. Small, natural flower arrangements of chrysanthemums, dahlias, lavender and wildflowers decorated the dining tables at the tented reception, and Kate carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums, lavender and greens. The stylized paper goods were created by the groom himself, and included Mad Libs RSVP cards, where guests could suggest songs for the dance floor. "We wanted guests to know early on that this was going to be a party," Kate says. Kate wore a beautiful lace gown on her wedding day, which she paired with a fascinator veil. Todd wore a handsome gray suit with a deep purple tie. Kate and Todd's photographer from Love Life Images captured every detail at their wedding.

All the paper goods at the wedding were designed and created by the groom himself. The invitations matched the wedding's color scheme in eggplant and white.
Kate carried a bouquet with chrysanthemums, lavender and greens. Floral design at her wedding was provided by Occasional Flowers.
Kate accessorized with a fascinator veil on her wedding day. Her hair was styled by Jewel Hair Design. She also wore pearl drop earrings.
Kate wore a lace wedding dress designed by Oleg Cassini for David's Bridal.
The wedding took place at Woodend Sanctuary, a historic home in Chevy Chase, Maryland, that is the headquarters of the Audubon Naturalist Society.
Todd wore a gray Bonobos suit on his wedding day. He also wore a purple tie and lavender boutonniere. His groomsmen wore black suits with purple ties.

The flower girl wore a dress that used to belong to Kate. She accessorized with a deep purple sash.
Centerpieces at the reception were simple, with various arrangements of purple chrysanthemums, dahlias and wildflowers in small glass vases.
As part of the Mad Libs RSVP cards, guests could suggest songs they wanted to dance to at Kate and Todd's reception.
The tented reception was held on the lawn at Woodend Sanctuary. The event was catered by Spilled Milk Catering with music by DJ Brad McCormick.
