A Simple, Romantic Wedding at Silvan Ridge Winery in Eugene, Oregon

Katherine Leatherman (21 and a birth doula) and Tyler Gordon (25 and a HVAC installer/screenwriter) met while they were hanging out with mutual friends and ended up having a great time getting to know each other. They decided to spend the next day together, and Katherine instantly knew that Tyler was going to be sticking around for some time. The couple went to Seattle for the weekend to visit Katherine’s sister in Seattle, Washington. After a nice dinner with Katherine’s family, they walked around a small park that overlooked the city. “Apparently my sister slipped him the ring box, and when I turned around Tyler started to talk to me about being together forever and how we are one another's best friend. He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him and, in excitement, I jumped on him and gave him kisses and hugs,” says Katherine. Tyler picked a stunning rose gold diamond band with a cushion morganite diamond. The couple had their traditional ceremony at St. Thomas Becket Church, and chose to have their reception at Silvan Ridge Winery in Eugene, Oregon. The small clock tower and big oak doors created the romantic wedding setting that the couple was looking for. Katherine picked out a vintage-styled dress with long lace sleeves and bodice from The Shabby Chic Bride consignment shop. The romantic color palette of soft pink, peach and white with accents of gold decorated the simple reception, from the gold candelabra centerpieces to the small vases filled with baby’s breath and tables with white tablecloths and chairs. Katherine and Tyler had their first dance to “Unchained Melody” by The Righteous Brothers, bringing tears to guests who watched the couple’s obvious love for one another.
