A Simple, Rustic Wedding at Granby Ranch in Granby, Colorado

Caity Lefebvre (23 and a student) and Cory Fields (22 and a student) were high school sweethearts. Knowing they were going to get married one day, they booked their venue two years out, but when they called the venue, the wedding coordinator said they could get married sooner because the location was available. “Cory wouldn’t let me tell anyone without a ring so we went to look at rings and to get my size,” Caity says. “I found a ring that both of us loved, and I wouldn’t take it off so we were engaged.” The couple wanted to have a destination wedding, but they wanted their family to still be able to make it, and Colorado’s mountains seemed like the perfect compromise. They loved the stunning mountain views of the Granby Ranch (hence picking it two years in advance!). After the ceremony they moved inside for dinner and dancing. They used shades of pink and blue for their color palette and added rustic details such as wood and burlap for a laid-back feel. Best Day Floral Design created all the lush floral arrangements, which Caity adored, and her and her mother loved making DIY projects such as the birdseed wedding favors.
