A Simple, Rustic Wedding at Karma Vineyards in Chelan, Washington

Nikko Kimball (26 and a financial professional) and Mark Gronhovd (33 and a technical recruiter at Amazon.com) sat across each other during a mutual friend’s birthday party dinner. Nikko thought Mark was attractive right from the start, and later on that night the two of them hit it off. The couple was traveling to Cabo San Lucas together, and Nikko suspected that’s when Mark was going to propose. As they were packing for the trip, Mark suddenly wanted to go for a walk at the nearby park. Once they were by the water, Mark got down on one knee and proposed to Nikko. The couple had their outdoor wedding at Karma Vineyards overlooking Lake Chelan in Washington. The natural space surrounded by vineyards was decorated in a neutral color palette of cream and light gray with blush detail. Their simple, classic style was brought to life on the wedding day through blossoming white flowers. With an intimate guest list of about 100, the couple wanted to focus on spending time with all their loved ones, along with honor the memory of relatives who had passed away. “Both Mark and I had lost grandparents and other family members, and it was important to have memories of them at our wedding,” says Nikko. “We displayed our parent's and grandparent's wedding photos on our welcome table, which meant a lot to our family.”
