A Simple, Rustic Wedding at the Barn at Bridlewood in Hattiesburg, Mississippi

With baby’s breath flower-girl crowns, white-bench seating and bulb vase centerpieces, Hannah Johnston (24 and in marketing) and Owen Walker’s (26 and in sales) rustic wedding was just the right amount of simple and sweet. The couple started the day with an outdoor ceremony surrounded by string lighting and a gorgeous waterfront view. Rows of white benches were met with sweet baby’s breath and orange rose accents as a matching arch stood out at the head of the aisle. University Florist covered the wooden frame with a natural display of green and coral roses that overflowed from the top. Yards upon yards of white tulle and an elegant chandelier were also hung overhead as Hannah and Owen took their first kiss. The couple made their recession on a bed of white rose petals. A few neutral details were also used in their barn reception to highlight the setting. “The Barn at Bridlewood [in Hattiesburg, Mississippi] was everything I imagined for my dream wedding,” Hannah says. A canopy of string lighting covered a wooden wall with a duet of chandeliers suspended over the room. Another standout detail: the couple's wedding cakes. Cotton Blues baked a three-tier white confection with baby's breath and roses to match each centerpiece and a Chicago Bears-themed groom's cake. After a few bites and turns around the dance floor, the couple ended their night in the barn as J'adore la Photographie captured every moment. Hannah shares a tip: “Enjoy your wedding day! When all is said and done, you are marrying each other, regardless of what happens.”
