A Simple, Tented Backyard Wedding at a Private Residence in Everson, Washington
Erika Ramstead (24 and Premier Agendas customer care) and Alex Van Dyken (27 and Enfield Farms Greenhouse manager) grew up together in Everson, Washington. They went their separate ways after graduating high school, but ran into each other again years later at Alex’s sister’s wedding. Erika hung out with Alex and his friends, and mentioned they should stop by to play golf sometime at the golf course she worked at. Little did she know that Alex and his friend would show up! By the end of the day, Erika and Alex started a relationship over text that soon grew into a serious relationship. One day, Erika went over to Alex’s family workshop to work on her sister’s Christmas present and couldn’t seem to find the light switch. All of a sudden, the lights came on that revealed letters made of wire and nails on the wall that spelled out “Will You Marry Me?” The couple had their wedding ceremony at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lynden, Washington, the same church Erika’s parents got married in. Erika wore a Mori Lee wedding dress down the aisle with a crystal belt and navy flats designed by Lucky Brand. The bridal bouquet was an assortment of white calla lilies pinned with a Police Badge that belonged to Erika’s father, who had passed away from cancer. The elegant, backyard reception took place at Erika’s parent’s house, decorated in accents of ivory, navy and bright green – from the limes decorating the middle of dining tables to the flower arrangements and the green heart-shaped stones.
