A Simple, Traditional Wedding at Colonnade Banquet Facility in Norwalk, Ohio
Stephanie Lenneman (26 and a human resources representative) and Kurt Lenneman (27 and a construction laborer) met over the summer at a country concert in Fort Lorraine, Ohio. Kurt was from Michigan while Stephanie lived in Ohio, so the couple had to do long distance for months before mover closer together and getting engaged. They chose to have their wedding ceremony at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Norwalk, Ohio, where Stephanie attended service growing up. Their family members sang “Jesu’ Joy of Man’s Desiring” and “Ave Maria” at different parts of the ceremony, adding an extra personal element to the traditional service. A navy, blush pink and ivory color palette decorated the wedding day details, ranging from the pink and ivory bouquets to the bridesmaids’ long navy dresses and the blush and ivory iced wedding cake! The reception took place at the Colonnade Banquet Facility in Milan, Ohio, where dining tables were decorated in antique pieces, candles and beads. Guests took home small jars of either strawberry or blueberry homemade jam as wedding favors, with tags that read “spread the love.” Stephanie’s parents made the strawberry jam with fruit from Ohio, and other relatives pitched in to make the blueberry jam with berries from Michigan, representing the two states the couple had come from.
