A Simple Wedding at Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort in Clearwater Beach, Florida

Chelsea Matthews (23 and a registered nurse) and Samuel Morrill’s (25 and a chemical engineer) beach wedding played off their sandy proposal for a sweet and simple celebration accented in white and blue. “We wanted a toes-in-the-sand ceremony and reception on an outdoor deck overlooking the sunset, so we found the perfect location at the Hilton,” Chelsea says. The team at Confetti Events helped Chelsea and Samuel to decorate their sunny ceremony with just the right accents as a natural wedding arch draped in greenery and white fabric stood at the head of the aisle. For a more literal touch to their beach theme, blue starfish were tied to each white chair. Rad Red Creative captured each detail at the reception as the wedding moved to the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort’s deck with burlap runners, white linens and all-white centerpieces lining each table. For another subtle pop of color, blue glass mason jars accented each white hydrangea and rose centerpiece as a lush garland circled the deck. After a slice of blue ombre wedding cake, Chelsea and Samuel spent their night surrounded by friends and family. “We are a simple, laid-back couple, so we really wanted our beach wedding to reflect that,” Chelsea says. “Guests danced the night away on the dance floor, played giant Jenga and corn hole on the beach and hung out by the fire pit on the sand.” For a personal touch, each of their 75 guests left with homemade chocolate seashells dusted in brown sugar “sand.”
