A Southern Style Wedding at a Private Residence in Historic Madison, Georgia

Who said a backyard wedding has to be casual? The stunning celebration of Sarah Cavanaugh's (23 and a pediatric nurse) marriage to Jonathan Snyder (29 and a business analyst) took place at Sarah's great aunt and uncle's home in Historic Madison, Georgia. "Their house used to be the residence of my great grandmother," Sarah says. "I have many memories in this historic town and I wanted to encompass its southern elements in my wedding." These southern style details were perfectly photographed by Mark Williams Studio. With a color palette of blue, gold and pink, Sarah and Jonathan's tented reception was decorated with peonies, roses, chrysanthemums and dahlias with eucalyptus leaves and other greens arranged on lace runners. Jonathan and his groomsmen wore cotton boll boutonnieres and baby blue bow ties from Jonathan's company, Brier and Moss.  The bridesmaids dressed in lilac and accessorized with strands of pearl jewelry. Sarah herself wore a fitted Alencon lace wedding dress and a cathedral veil as she walked down the aisle of the pretty Episcopalian chapel where she and Jonathan exchanged their vows. "Our favorite part of the day was dancing with all of family and friends," Sarah says. "It was such an amazing time being surrounded by all of our loved ones in one place."
