From the wedding arch to the natural bouquets, Caitlin Githens (32 and a horse trainer) and Sean Beattie’s (29 and a benefits administrator) bright, Southern-styled wedding is filled with sunflowers and personal antique accents. Christina Lilly Photography captured every moment as the couple started their day with a sweet outdoor ceremony at the Woolverton Inn in Stockton, New Jersey. Mark Bryan Designs, the couple’s florist, covered their white wedding arch with lush green garland, yellow roses and sunflowers as each of their five flower girls lined the aisle with white flower petals. Caitlin entered the ceremony in an ethereal lace wedding dress by Claire Pettibone as her family’s heirloom ivory lace veil covered her down hairstyle. Sean waited by the altar in a neutral suit and bright blue bow tie. After the couple shared their first kiss, they stopped by the venue’s sheep farm for a few pictures while their guests continued the party with a tented reception. Playful sheep-accented escort cards pointed friends and family members to family-style tables as tablescapes of sunflowers and greenery were set over white lace. Each detail added a personal touch to their day. “Some of the lace and milk glass had been in my family while others were donated by friends or bought at antiques stores,” Caitlin says. All were treated to a slice of vanilla wedding cake or chocolate groom’s cake before ending the night making s'mores around a fire pit. Caitlin shares a few tips: “Sleep well the night before the wedding. Remember your wedding party is there to help, and don't forget to take every moment you can to enjoy the day.”

"I wanted the bouquets to look as though they were freshly picked and not overly arranged," Caitlin says. Keeping this in mind, the couple's florist, Mark Bryan Designs, created a natural bouquet to go with Caitlin's lace wedding dress. Sunflowers, white anemones, yellow ranunculus, dusty miller, greenery and wildflowers were all wrapped in a white ribbon for the arrangement.
When it came time to select the bridesmaid dresses, Caitlin requested that they choose a dress in chocolate brown. Each woman picked a knee-length dress from the Dessy Group in brown satin and completed the look with fun blue shoes. For a natural and cohesive touch, Mark Bryan Designs also arranged matching bouquets of sunflowers and greenery to finish the look.
"We visited the Woolverton Inn for a romantic weekend getaway and fell in love with the place and the surrounding area," Caitlin says. "The night we got engaged, we both agreed it was a no-brainier to have our wedding there." Caitlin and Sean highlighted the inn's grounds and chose limited decor for the outdoor ceremony. Instead, a white wedding arch was covered with natural greenery, roses, sunflowers and orchids from Mark Bryan Designs.
Caitlin and Sean's ring bearers complemented the groomsmen's neutral looks and blue ties with fun, bright blue bow ties, neutral pants and pale green vests. Their burlap ring pillows also tied in the couple's Southern-style theme with a simple touch.
Caitlin added a few classic accents to her Claire Pettibone wedding dress. She wore a simple silver pin as her ivory lace veil cascaded over the back of her curled hairstyle. The best part: Her veil had been passed down in her mother's family since the 1800s, adding a personal and sweet touch to her wedding-day look.
Caitlin and Sean focused on minimal decor, but their white wedding arch was overflowing with florals. Mark Bryan Designs draped the accent in garlands as a lush arrangement of yellow roses, sunflowers, green dianthus, blue orchids and greenery covered the front beam.
Caitlin and Sean's venue, the Woolverton Inn in Stockton, New Jersey, was also home to various sheep. To incorporate this natural aspect, Caitlin and Sean stopped to feed the animals and chose playful escort cards with sheep designs.

Caitlin and Sean decorated each family-style wooden table with a personal touch. Tablescapes of sunflowers, greenery, white hydrangeas and blue lilies of the valley from Mark Bryan Designs were placed in antique, heirloom or borrowed white vases as antique lace was used as a runner.
Caitlin and Sean also put a Southern twist on their wedding favors. Each of the couple's 140 guests took home a mason jar filled with flavored salt and vinegar popcorn. The jars were even topped with a vibrant printed cloth.
