A Spring Wedding at Radisson Quad City Plaza in Davenport, Iowa

The wedding of Brooke Foster (23 and a physical therapist) and Ryan Foster (25 and a health and wellness coach) blossomed with the colors of spring, from the fresh white and coral florals to the soft mint bridesmaid dresses. The day started with a ceremony at Christ the King Chapel on St. Ambrose University’s campus. “We are both proud alumni and honored the fact that our relationship started on the campus,” says Brooke. The reception followed at the Radisson Quad City Plaza in Davenport, Iowa, where a beautiful atrium with plants, flowers and a waterfall greeted guests as they were ushered into a ballroom with a pastel color palette. “We really wanted a traditional, romantic theme for our wedding,” says Brooke. Picket Fence Floral, Gift and Garden Center provided the flowers, which included minty dusty miller mixed with white throughout the bridesmaids' bouquets and hypericum berries for the groomsmen’s boutonnieres. Brooke’s mother made the six-tier wedding cake with alternating layers of French vanilla and lemon cake, and also made a giant Reese’s peanut butter cup cake for the groom! The bride offers her advice to to-be-weds looking to have lots of DIY details at their wedding: “Wedding planning is so fun, but make sure to spread everything out and get stuff done early! We were so thankful for the support we had from each other and from our wonderful family and friends throughout the whole process.”
