A Stylish, Fun-Filled Wedding at South Carolina State Museum in Columbia
Two years after Daniel Price (33 and a hair and makeup artist) proposed to Cameron Swofford (25 and a med school student) with caricature art at Disney World, the fun-loving pair threw an epic bash at Columbia's historic South Carolina State Museum. "The museum has always been our favorite landmark, and the beauty of the building was perfect for our day," Daniel says. With an "art deco Southern glam" design in mind, the pair drew inspiration from the classic movie Steel Magnolias to create a celebration uniquely their own. "All of my friends tease me that I've had my wedding planned since I was six years old, and that's partially true," Daniel says. Daniel's best friend, Justin Keller—a Celine Dion impersonator and drag queen known as Bootsie Lefaris—officiated. Cameron and Daniel kicked off the party to the tune of Queen's "Crazy Little Thing Called Love." Swarovski crystals covered Daniel's one-of-a-kind blush suit, while a crystal necklace peeked out from underneath Cameron's collar.
