A Stylish, Intimate Wedding at One If by Land, Two If by Sea in New York City
Lauren Gold (29 and a marketing manager) and Richard Myers (33 and a marketing director) met while working for a global brewing company in London. After dating for three years, Rich proposed to Lauren on Paris's Pont des Arts bridge, where couples put padlocks to signify their love. The couple decided to get married in New York City rather than London. "We wanted an opportunity to share an intimate experience with our close friends and family," Lauren says. Their ceremony was held at All Souls Church, where both a priest and a rabbi officiated the interfaith union. After taking advantage of Central Park in the spring for a few pictures and enjoying afternoon tea at the Crosby Hotel, the newlyweds headed to One If by Land, Two If by Sea for the reception. Lauren and David's celebration was warm and intimate, and tables were named after landmarks in Paris. Since they both work for a brewery, it was only fitting Lauren and David gave their guests beer bottles emblazoned with their names as favors. The festivities ended with dancing and a naked chocolate wedding cake at this modern, sophisticated wedding.
