A Stylish Vineyard Wedding at Montaluce Winery and Restaurant in Dahlonega, Georgia
When Heather Carstensen (35 and an information technology manager) went to Atlanta to visit her best friend, she was introduced to Peggy's nice, single neighbor Faron Lewitt (39 and an executive). A few weeks later, Faron had to travel to Chicago for work and the pair met up for their first date. "We felt like we’d known each other for years, so we began dating long distance —we both knew it was meant to be pretty early on," says Heather. Ten months later, Heather made the move down south and Faron proposed during a romantic vacation to St. Lucia. On one of their early dates, Heather and Faron had taken a day trip to Dahlonega in the North Georgia Mountains where they toured the town and enjoyed Montaluce's vineyard. "Montaluce was simply breathtaking and somewhere during the wine tasting, tour and lunch, Faron and I fell in love—with Montaluce and each other," says Heather. After visiting 22 other venues in Georgia over three weekends, nothing else compared to Montaluce so the couple set the date for an elegant fall affair. Heather and Faron envisioned their wedding to be romantic, simple, with a down-to-earth elegance with a purple, green and white color palette. For a clean and simple look, Heather and Faron kept all of their flowers fairly monochromatic with the bridesmaids with purple, groomsmen with green and the newlyweds with ivory. "Stylish Stems was able to easily help me work hydrangeas into the chuppah, bridesmaid’s bouquets and decor and reuse certain arrangements from our ceremony to the reception in order to make the rooms full of flowers but still stay within our budget," says Heather. "I couldn't have been happier with the way it added a lush romantic feel to each space in the venue!"
