A Sunset Inspired Summer Wedding at Valley Ridge Golf Club in Alberta, Canada

Aline LaBrie (30, a Geologist) and Michael Walintschek (33, a Purchaser) wanted the main focus of their wedding to be the flowers--garden roses, roses, carnations and ranunculuses in bright bold orange colors with touches of peach, coral and gray. "I wanted a look that was reminiscent of a sunset," Aline says. Each of the bridesmaids carried a unique bouquet of orange flowers while the groomsmen wore hot pink and orange ranunculus boutonnieres. Even the flower girl wore a crown of bright pink and orange ranunculuses and roses! The orange color palette wasn't just limited to the floral decor--Aline wore bright orange peep toe heels, the bridesmaids wore chunky bead orange necklaces and the groomsmen wore orange socks underneath their gray suits. After the cocktail hour (with peach and orange punch, of course!) everyone enjoyed a buffet dinner with chicken, sirloin and a vegetarian pasta. "The most important thing was to gather our friends and family in a comfortable, inviting atmosphere where everyone felt free to have a great time," Aline says.
