A Timeless, Classic Wedding at The Cactus Hotel in San Angelo, Texas

Tara Leifeste (29 and a dental hygienist) and Travis Robertson (30 and in real estate) brought classic formality to San Angelo, Texas, to create the wedding the bride has dreamed of since childhood. “Our wedding planner, Celebraciones Bellas, described our theme as ‘Frank Sinatra Era,’” says Tara. “We wanted a very formal wedding and knew the black and white color palette would be elegant.” The couple got married in First United Methodist Church in the bride’s hometown. “With the long aisle and pipe organ, we knew the setting would provide the traditional, formal wedding that we wanted,” says Tara. After, guests walked across the street to The Cactus Hotel, where they were greeted by a grand ballroom with crystal chandeliers—the picture of timeless elegance. ”I have always wanted my reception there since I was a little girl,” says Tara. The eight-piece band, London Calling, kept the dance floor lively and full all night, and even coordinated a big surprise: The groom’s family choreographed a surprise dance and taught it to both families without the bride ever knowing! The musical surprises didn’t end there—the groom’s father and his quartet of 40 years performed, too! Beyond the wedding, we love the story of Tara’s engagement ring. The groom tells us: "Her engagement ring is something I am extremely proud of. You see, we never went and looked at rings together. I wrote down notes for 18 months when I would hear her mention anything about a ring. I finally picked out a beautiful two carat solitaire diamond with a magnificent cut. She receives compliments daily and in turn never stops thanking me for such a wonderful ring. The classic design fits perfectly with my wife's attitude and style."
