A Timeless Wedding at Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara in Santa Barbara, California
Amy Wallace, 29, a music manager and Jim Patton, 31, a comedy writer based out of Los Angeles met while figuring out how to split up the check at a bar as they watched the World Cup with their respective groups of friends. "We went on our very first date the next night," says Amy. For their wedding celebration at The Four Seasons in Santa Barbara, CA? -- a sentimental choice, as Amy and Jim went to Santa Barbara as one of their first day trips as a couple -- the bride and groom wanted a formal, yet very inviting evening. "I told my planner, Alexandra Kolendrianos, I liked navy, ivory and gold and she ran with it!" says Amy. With the beautiful scenery of Santa Barbara and the classic Californian style of The Four Seasons Resort in the background, Amy and Jim kept their decorations elegant and timeless. Lush arrangements of blush and ivory roses topped low and high centerpieces at the reception, surrounded by Mercury glass votives, reflective silver chargers and modern flatware. The affect was a traditional celebration with a sophisticated, modern edge. The night ended with a particularly fun and memorable reception exit -- a ride in a genuine Delorean, a nod to Jim's favorite movie, "Back to the Future."
