Aimee Hoyer (30 and a physician) and Nick Macpherson (28 and a physician) had a beautiful, classic wedding over Fourth of July weekend in Dallas. Since so many of their guests were traveling from afar, the couple wanted to make it worth their while. "We wanted a venue where our out-of-town guests could enjoy the holiday weekend. From the pools to the golf course to the spa, the Four Seasons Las Colinas was the perfect setting," says Aimee. For the sake of convenience, the bridal luncheon, rehearsal dinner and reception were all hosted at the Four Seasons, and the couple's evening nuptials were held at Perkins Chapel. Emily Clarke Events made sure the decor was simple but striking—very "Town & Country," according to Aimee—and it was all expertly captured by Sarah Kate Photography. Aimee and Nick had wanted a tented wedding but opted for an indoor reception because of the Texas heat, so they brought the garden indoors, with lush centerpieces, natural greenery and towering trees. "Working with our florist, Cesar, was a dream, and he instantly got what we were trying to do," said Aimee. "The black-and-white checkered dance floor finished off the timeless look."

The wedding invitations were hand-calligraphed by Lana Prather and engraved on crane paper. The rest of the suite was custom-designed with gray accents to complement the gray and blush pink wedding colors.
"My maternal grandmother’s aquamarine cocktail ring has been the 'something blue' in our family weddings," said Aimee. "I was able to have a piece of her with me and a piece of all those other wedding days. "

Of her six bridesmaids, two had recently had babies and two others were pregnant, so Aimee decided to let them pick their own dresses. "I wanted my friends to feel beautiful," she said.
Aimee carried a white bouquet of peonies (her favorite flower) accented with fresh greenery, and her bridesmaids carried blush-tone bouquets with a mix of peonies, O’Hare garden roses, natural greenery, and dusty miller.
Aimee's dress was a Monique Lhuillier Spanish tulle gown with a drop-waist and trumpet silhouette.
Nick's tuxedo was similar to his groomsmen's but featured a shawl collar. His tailored look was finished off with a crisp white pocket square.
Instead of boutonnieres, Nick and his groomsmen opted for clean and simple pocket squares. They polished off the look with sleek black bow ties.

The couple had originally wanted an outdoor, tented reception, but with the Fourth of July weekend Dallas heat, they decided to keep the festivities indoors. "Our concept was to re-create that classic garden wedding feel inside the ballroom," says Aimee.

Guests enjoyed champagne cake with English toffee filling, and caramel cake with sea-salt caramel filling. Rather than using a cake topper, the couple chose to adorn their cake with lush flowers and greenery, with a small decal of their initials.
