Black and White Invitation
“I allowed the girls to choose from three different floor-length navy chiffon Amsale dresses—-halter, one-strap, and cap-sleeved,” Brooke says. They accessorized their chic looks with their own silver shoes, diamond drop earrings and fire-engine-red lipstick and manicures.
The traditional black-and-white menus featured the couple’s custom monogram and were mounted on metallic silver stock.
Brooke’s white ranunculus bouquet was finished with ribbon and her great-grandmother’s handkerchief.

“The gentlemen loved taking their jackets off and flashing their striped suspenders and cummerbunds,” Brooke says.

The couple’s buttercream wedding cake had two flavors: Smith Island (yellow cake with chocolate fudge filling and crushed peanut butter cups—a Maryland fave) and lemon mousse. “It was delicious and a big hit, but I only had one bite after we cut it!” recalls Brooke.
Some of the reception tables had arrangements of amaryllis, ivory lisianthuses, roses, green foxtail, ornithogalum, berries, tulips, birch branches and greens in tall birch bark vases carved with the couple’s initials inside a heart.
Calligraphed escort cards sat in slotted birch logs on a moss-covered table.
The couple traveled to the reception in style—in a silver vintage Rolls-Royce.
