A Traditional Spring Wedding at Vadstena Castle in Vadstena, Sweden

A bright spring wedding at a historic castle in Sweden? Yes, please! Cecilia Pettersson (29 and in marketing and communication) and Linus Karlsson (36 and an excavator driver in his own business) had a traditional wedding at Vadstena Castle in Vadstena, Sweden, a Renaissance-era building complete with stone walls and a moat big enough to warrant a boat for the wedding entrance. To decorate the hall, which featured arched windows and wooden beam ceilings, Cecilia and Linus chose a pastel color palette that perfectly matched the season. The white reception tables had centerpieces made up of glass vases in different sizes that were filled with white flowers like roses, peonies and lilies of the valley. Because Linus grew up on a dairy farm, milk vases filled with apple blossoms were placed throughout the reception hall as a personal detail. Cecilia's father and brother created a large heart made out of garlands to add a touch of greenery to stone walls. The space was also decorated with whimsical honeycomb balls in different sizes and various pastel shades. Cecilia and Linus's attire coordinated perfectly with the wedding decor. Linus dressed in a navy tuxedo with a navy-and-pink-striped bow tie and Cecilia wore an elegant lace wedding dress fit for a queen with off-shoulder cap sleeves and a dramatic train.
