A Traditional Wedding at St. Charles Preparatory School in Bexley, Ohio
Lauren Subler (25 and a project manager at Resource Ammirati) and Lucas Moeller (24 and works in sales at Loeb Electric) met through a mutual friend at a wedding and became engaged about five years later. “He had sneakily lured me out behind the beautiful COSI building and proposed with the entire Columbus skyline lit up behind us,” says Lauren. The couple spent their next 14 months planning a traditional wedding in Bexley, Ohio in January. “I was inspired by the Gatsby themed weddings I saw on Pinterest, but knew that the over-the-top glamor wasn't necessarily our style either,” says Lauren. Instead, the couple kept the metallic and classic color scheme of black, white and gold. The couple lined their ceremony aisle at Saint Mary Catholic Church with arrangements of white roses and greenery. Lauren and Lucas said “I do” in front of a grand altar decorated with Christmas trees and poinsettia arrangements. Afterward, the couple and their 400 guests moved to the Saint Charles Preparatory School for the reception. Rows of round tables were accented with black linens, white sashes, and tall white floral centerpieces. All were served a plated meal and appetizers before sampling the couple’s 10-flavored, five-tier wedding cake. As Lauren and Lucas's dog, Thor, could not be part of their special day, the couple incorporated him in their cake topper. Lauren, Lucas and their guests spent the rest of their night dancing to the band Hat Trick.
