A Traditional Winter Wedding at The Sterling Inn in Clinton Township, Michigan
Lenore Bank (24 and a phlebotomist) and Devin Brumley (29 and a contractor) met on Eater Sunday 2010 and were set up by Devin's aunt, who was Lenore's lifetime neighbor. She made it very awkward and uncomfortable, however it worked out for the better, as they would have never met otherwise. Four years later, Devin called Lenore into the room where she found him knelt down asking her to spend the rest of her life with him. Both Lenore and Devin knew they wanted a traditional church wedding, so the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Macomb, Michigan was the perfect choice because of their wooden steps at the alter which caught Lenore's eye right away. When choosing their reception venue, Lenore wanted an inn so that the guests could stay the night if the weather was bad. With the winter wonderland theme paired with a rustic atmosphere, the color palette consisted of white and gray with accents of light pink. After saying their "I do's" on the wooden steps, the wedding party took pictures outside in the snow before being greeted with light pink champagne after the cocktail hour. With twinkle lights to enhance the winter wonderland theme throughout the reception hall, the newlyweds enjoyed their first dance as husband and wife. "I think people really got to see how much Devin and I truly love each other in the way we interacted and danced. I feel like they had a glimpse of how our life is really going to be, and that was one of the best feelings," says Lenore.
