A Tropical, Bohemian Wedding at Olowalu Plantation House in Lahaina, Hawaii

Blush tones, tropical blooms, wooden surfboards and a vintage Volkswagen bus photo booth echoed the classic Hawaiian vibe Alexandra "Ali" Dempsey (27 and a marketing associate) and Zachary Thorstad (29 and a Realtor) wanted for thier Maui, Hawaii, celebration, which featured a barbecue welcome party and chartered whale-watching tour. Steering clear of anything that said "luau," the couple looked to old Hawaii for inspiration, including giant palm leaves, bamboo chairs, Polynesian fare and a processional to "Better Together" by Hawaiian native Jack Johnson. "I grew up coming to Maui, and Zach and I came to Maui several times," Ali says of inviting 120 guests to the Pacific island. "We wanted our wedding guests to experience the joy and gratitude we feel every time we're here."—Stephanie Cain
