A Tropical Destination Wedding at Rosa del Viento in Tulum, Mexico
We can’t get over the stunning tropical wedding arch at the destination wedding of Talina Konotchick (33 and a scientist) and Imad Ajjawi (35 and a scientist). Filled with palm leaves and vibrant Birds of Paradise, red ginger and lilies, this whimsical arch created a stunning display on the beach in Tulum, Mexico. The couple hosted their intimate wedding at Rosa del Viento Resort with 40 of their closest loved ones. “We liked the idea of having a destination wedding where our families and friends could interact for several days and have it be a memorable vacation for everyone,” Talina says. It was also easier for their families to travel, since the couple have relatives in the US and Spain. As for Tulum, there was “such an awesome vibe in that town, the hotel was beautiful and right on the beach, and the cabin-style accommodations were great,” the couple says. Talina wore a mermaid-style wedding dress by Mori Lee, and the groom wore a casual vest and pants suit to stay cool in the tropical weather. Rosa del Viento created more stunning floral arrangements that reflected the destination, including bright bouquets of orange tiger lilies, yellow calla lilies for the bride and her bridesmaids, with a magenta gerbera daisy to separate Talina’s bouquet. In the days surrounding the wedding, the couple and their guests visited ruins, went scuba diving, enjoyed adventure parks, swam with dolphins and met up with their guests every morning for breakfast on the beach.
