A Tropical-Themed Wedding at ZooTampa at Lowry Park in Florida
Since they were tying the knot in Tampa, Florida, Casie Rahe and Raymond Williams chose tropical décor for a natural feel. "We love the outdoors and really wanted to incorporate lush greenery into the wedding," Casie says. Tropical plants—including pink protea, red flowers and palm leaves—appeared in the bouquets, boutonnieres and centerpieces. The colorful arrangements popped against the bride's A-line gown and the groom's gray suit. "We wanted our looks to be elegant but not too formal. We were getting married at the zoo after all," Casie says. The indoor reception continued the tropical and modern aesthetic, and draping on the ceiling dressed up the room. At the end of the night, guests crowded the dance floor for an '80s mash-up and drum finale from the band.
Our favorite #MakeTradition Moment: Casie and Raymond loved their first look. "Our photographer scoped out the venue beforehand and found this perfect place for us to have our first look," Casie says. "There was so much anticipation built up to see each other for the first time, and our location was secluded, tranquil and the perfect intimate place for us to have a few moments to ourselves before the ceremony."
