Everything about Adrienne DuBois (30 and a biology instructor) and Geoff Todd’s (31 and in health care) bright wedding felt like a tropical getaway, from the orange, pink, purple and green color scheme and palm tree-lined reception space to her stunning cascading bouquet. Maxime Photo and Video captured every eye-catching detail, as the couple began their wedding day with a fun beach ceremony and ended with an outdoor reception at Red Fish Grill. “Once I chose Red Fish Grill, I knew I wanted to have tropical colors and flowers,” Adrienne says. The team at Hirni's Wayside Garden Florist filled the couple’s wedding with exactly that. Lush arrangements of monstera leaves, orange birds of paradise, pink cone gingers, pink orchids and other tropical accents topped the couple’s wedding arch as well as decorated each chair along the aisle. Tables at the reception were met with plumes of similar flowers surrounded by candlelight and seashells. Another stand-out detail was the lighting design. Adrienne and Geoff accented their waterfront reception with an an unexpected display of cascading string lights around each palm tree. For other couples planning their wedding, Adrienne has this tip: “The most important thing is that you are getting married to the person you love. When things get crazy, come back to that thought. Pick a venue and a date first. Then, all of the little details will just come into place. But make sure to keep organized with a notebook and folders on your computer. There's a lot of stuff to keep track of!”

Wanting to fill their wedding with bright hues and tropical flowers, Adrienne and Geoff chose Hirni's Wayside Garden Florist as their floral designer. The team created an eye-catching arrangement of pink ginger cones, orange calla lilies, birds of paradise and more to complement the maid of honor's bright purple dress.
Adrienne and Geoff selected a bright program that fit their orange, pink, purple and green color scheme. Complete with a green ribbon bow, the couple added more fun details with a colorful font and floral border to match their tropical bouquets and wedding arch.
The team at David’s Bridal helped Adrienne find the right dress for their tropical beach wedding -- a white mermaid wedding dress by Oleg Cassini. “It went along with the Florida and tropical theme, and the lace itself has tropical flower details,” Adrienne says. She paired the gown with an elbow-length veil, simple jewelry and an eye-catching tropical bouquet designed by Hirni's Wayside Garden Florist.
Adrienne complemented her white Oleg Cassini wedding dress with an eye-catching bouquet that brought the couple’s tropical theme into her outfit. Adrienne and Geoff’s florist, Hirni's Wayside Garden Florist, designed a cascading bouquet dripping with orange birds of paradise, purple orchids, orange stargazer lilies and greenery. Geoff even complemented her with an orange birds of paradise and purple orchid boutonniere.
When it came time to find her maid of honor’s dress, Adrienne turned to Dessy.com and found a Lela Rose dress in Persian Plum. The couple continued using this hue and paired their black groomsmen tuxedos from Men’s Wearhouse with bright ties in the same color. They also wore purple orchid boutonnieres.
Adrienne and Geoff complemented their tropical theme with orange chairs and bright centerpieces. Hirni's Wayside Garden Florist designed a lush arrangement for each reception that included fun pink cone gingers, orange protea and monstera leaves. Each centerpiece was also accented with seashells.
Adrienne and Geoff added a personal touch to the wedding and made sure each guest left the reception with a sand dollar ornament. “Whenever Geoff and I travel, we pick up a souvenir trinket that we hang as an ornament on our Christmas tree. Every Christmas as we decorate, we remember all of our fun travels together,” Adrienne says. “ We wanted to share that with everyone.”
Edda’s Cake Designs baked a simple, three-tier, white wedding cake accented with bright tropical flowers to fit the couple’s theme. Birds of paradise, purple orchids, orange stargazer lilies, green orchids and other fun florals accented each tier. For a twist, the couple had their confection placed on a bed of "sand" as well as surrounded by seashells and tartlets.
