A Vibrant Rustic Wedding at Stonewall Farm in Keene, New Hampshire
For their wedding, Rachel Venuti (29 and a special education teacher) and Mark Venuti (31 and a painter) planned an intimate affair with rustic flair at Stonewall Farm in Keene, NH. Wanting a quaint location to host their families and friends, the couple visited a number of barns before coming across Stonewall Farm. The picturesque organic farm was the perfect fit for Rachel and Mark’s rustic vision, offering acres of beautiful green meadows and a striking post and beam barn with high ceilings, French doors and an inviting stone fireplace. “My sister recommended the farm and the minute we pulled into the parking lot, we knew it was perfect,” says Rachel. “There were three ceremony sites and we loved that they were willing to let us decorate the area however we wanted.” The scenic spot called for little embellishment, leading the couple to use a bright color palette and a few understated DIY touches, like escort cards, favors and signs, to infuse the space with their own personal flair. Tones of violet and slate enhanced the rustic setting, while keeping the proceedings fun and vibrant. Dotty O’Hagan designed all of the day’s floral arrangements, filling the bouquets, boutonnieres and centerpieces with hand-tinted silk blooms that complemented the wedding’s color scheme. Instead of classic wedding cake, the newlyweds treated guests to an ice cream bar complete with decadent toppings and three flavors of ice cream, and surprised guests with a photo booth where they could have fun striking a pose.
