A Vibrant Rustic Wedding at the Depot on Bradley Street in Carrollton, Georgia

Everything about the wedding of Emily Denney (21 and a student) and Russ Denney (22 and an accounting clerk) felt like fall in the South. “Our wedding style was Southern elegance,” Emily says. “I have always loved the rich colors of fall in the South, so when I began to plan our wedding, I knew that I wanted those colors to be our wedding colors. Kudzu Creative Designs created full, open bouquets with Emily’s favorite vibrant colors, including the flowers she handpicked: garden roses, dahlias, ranunculus and stock. Wedding planner Angie Bradley helped the couple transform the rustic space at the Depot on Bradley Street in Carrollton, Georgia, into the elegant reception they envisioned. “The brick walls and large wooden doors of this old train station provided the perfect backdrop to celebrate our marriage,” Emily says. The standout details from their wedding day? “Among the many beautiful reception tablescapes, our cake tables stood out as two focal points that reflected our true personalities,” Emily says. Cakes by Design crafted a three-tier wedding cake with fruit filling that was draped with full, fresh flowers and garden greenery. The cake stood atop an heirloom vintage table draped with a quilt from her grandfather. Even Russ’s groom’s cake held meaning: His was a Georgia Bulldogs-inspired cake that sat atop a wooden spool table decorated with his favorite football team’s memorabilia.
