What's fuchsia, seersucker and gold all over? Mari Chubb (24 and an executive assistant) and Chad Chubb's (26 and in financial planning) wedding. Instead of picking a theme, Mari and Chad focused their celebration on all things pink, gold, glitter and gray. Now that’s a combination we didn't expect! From the vibrant bridesmaid dresses to the centerpieces and wedding cake, everything fit the color scheme. The women rocked hot pink, cocktail-length dresses during the formal Catholic ceremony and mini versions of Mari’s pink, fuchsia and white rose bouquet added a bold hue. The same arrangements circled the couple’s sweetheart table for a pop of color against the classic black-and-white setting at Cescaphe Ballroom in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The rest of their centerpieces focused on pink rock-filled martini glasses with a gold glitter rim. The most standout accent at their wedding, however, was the cake. Wrapped in gold glitter ribbon and covered in matching gold beading, the accents brought out their favorite colors atop fondant icing. Erin Keough Photography captured all the standout details (including their pink "Chubby Crush" vodka cocktails). For more personal moments, Mari shares a tip: “Take as many mental pictures as possible.”

Mari’s love for gold and glitter also came out in her shoes. She paired her ivory and white look with a striking pair of strappy Steve Madden heels. “My high heels just topped everything off, along with my rose gold jewelry,” she says.
The bridesmaids rocked their hot pink color with a few glam looks from the Red Dress Boutique. Each woman wore the same short dress with a high neckline and two slight pleats above its empire waist. To show a little personality, they opted for their favorite neutral heels, updo or down hairstyles and different jewelry. They also carried the same bouquets of matching pink roses, white roses and gold leaves.
Wanting a dramatic look for the ceremony, Mari paired her open-back Nicole Miller dress with a timeless white veil. The cathedral-length accent definitely added a sense of elegance and glamour to her look by its sheer size. (Its classic lace trim also matched the white embroidery along her dress.)
Although she didn’t wear a hot pink dress, the flower girl still incorporated the couple's vibrant wedding colors into her look. She stood beside Mari in a sweet ivory satin dress with a lace illusion neckline and tulle overlay on her skirt. To tie in the brighter color scheme, she also wore a fuchsia sash around her waist and carried a matching pink bouquet.
Talk about pink! Her bridal bouquet took their wedding color to a new level with bold fuchsia, white and burgundy roses. To bring in her love of gold, gold-painted seeded eucalyptus also popped from within the bouquet.
Mari looked nothing short of classic as they exchanged rings in St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church. She had her hair styled into a chic updo with a silver vintage-inspired clip just above the bun. Its design went perfectly with her teardrop earrings and new diamond wedding ring.
Everyone in the wedding party accented the summer season with a short looks. The bridesmaids sported hot pink cocktail-length dresses with matching pink and white rose bouquets. For the men, Chad had them suit up in blue seersucker suits. Instead of boutonnieres, they all wore hot pink paper flowers from Etsy on their lapels. “They were so fun and different,” Mari says.
“We chose Cescaphe because they are simply amazing,” Mari says. “We didn't look at other venues; we were sold immediately with Cescaphe.” Wanting to wrap its classic decor in glamorous details, they decorated the space with gold chiavari chairs and martini glass-inspired centerpieces. The couple even had pearls draped from the venue’s chandeliers.
Since Mari loves gold and glitter, it wasn't a surprise that their standout table numbers featured both accents at Cescaphe Ballroom in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The couple marked each table with a three-inch gold shimmer number. Its stand coordinated with the tall martini glass-inspired centerpieces and its gold glitter rim.
After the ceremony, Mari’s bridesmaids helped decorate the sweetheart table with their bouquets. Bunches of red, pink and white roses as well as gold-painted eucalyptus leaves covered the edge. The accents brought out the couple’s colors, not to mention a sweet display that matched their wedding party during the toasts at Cescaphe Ballroom in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Their wedding cake was just as glam as its surrounding martini glass accents. Almost every ivory fondant tier was wrapped in gold glitter ribbon along the base. Instead of ribbon, gold beading covered the third layer, giving it that extra sparkle. Classic blush roses also topped the confection.
After dinner, Mari and Chad turned their Penn State-inspired ice sculpture into a dessert display at Cescaphe Ballroom in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Cheesecakes, tarts and more sweets were all available for their guests. On top of this, the couple also served a four-tier fondant cake and breakfast treats.
Chad knew he wanted a blue seersucker suit, but chose something with a little more personal flair. He paired it with a blue and white shirt, matching pale blue bow tie and hot pink socks to complement the bridesmaid dresses. His boutonniere was a fuchsia paper flower from Etsy.
