A Vibrant Wedding at Indian Springs Metropark in White Lake Township, Michigan
A shooting star gave Nathan the courage he needed, not to mention the perfect segue for his proposal to Kerstin on a trip to the Porcupine Mountains in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. "We were married in Indian Springs Metropark in White Lake Township, Michigan," Kerstin says. "They have an Environmental Discovery Center on-site with beautiful wooden architecture aside a pond. In the basement is even a giant glass viewing bubble at the bottom of the pond. We had the option to hold the ceremony outside, but since it was mid-April in Michigan, we chose inside the center." But Kerstin credits her event planner, Erin Brede at Anchor Events & Design, for how everything at the venue turned out. As for the theme, spring seemed to go well with the colors Kerstin and Nathan picked (white and royal blue) and the nature center itself, with it's earthy surroundings. Photographer Amanda Dumouchelle of Ann Arbor captured every personal moment from the wedding.
